1 1/2 cups sugar
8 T cocoa
1 cup sour milk
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups flour
1 cup boiling water
2 eggs
salt
2 tsp soda
Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs. Alternate dry ingredients with sour milk. Last, add soda to boiling water and add to cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes in a 10 x 13″ pan.
