Mary Lou’s Oh So Good Crock Pot Chicken

4-5 skinned chicken breasts
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can water
1 cup sour cream
salt and pepper

Brown chicken to golden, put in crock pot.  Mix soup and water and pour over chicken.  Cook approximately 4 hours.  Add 1 cup sour cream the last hour.  To save time you can heat crock pot, put in hot chicken, and add hot soup and water.

Spaghetti

“This came to a ward dinner, so I know it’s delicious.”

Saute 1 small minced onion and 2 whole cloves garlic in oil until transparent.  Add one 2 1/2 size can tomatoes and cook together for a few minutes.  Add:

1 T salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp sweet basil
1 large can tomato paste
1 paste can water
1 bay leaf (optional)

Simmer slowly to make a thick gravy, adding more water if necessary.  Remove garlic and bay leaf before serving.

Meatballs

1 lb hamburger
1/2 cup crushed cracker crumbs
1 T salt
1 tsp pepper
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 T parmesan cheese
3 tsp chopped parsley
2 eggs

Mix well and form into small balls.  Brown in fry pan and add to hot gravy.  Serve over hot spaghetti pasta.  Top with cheese.

Pizza

“A favorite of people from Sicily to the Basin.”

2 cups flour
1 cup lukewarm water
1 pkg yeast
1/8 tsp salt
2 T oil

Dissolve yeast in water.  Combine flour and salt.  Add yeast and oil and mix well.  Sprinkle with flour and knead lightly.  Place dough on well-greased pizza pan and work to edges with greased finger tips.  Spread with pizza sauce and add desired toppings.  Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
