Tender Crisp Sugar Cookies

Monterey Pinto Salad

Contributor:  Mildred SneldersCC Original “I’m always looking for different salads–especially in the summer!  I use it for a meat substitute quite often.” Combine;1 15 oz can pinto beans, drained4 oz Monterey Jack, cut into 1 x 1/4 x 1/4″ strips1/3 – 1/2 cup sliced celery 

Waffles

Contributor:  Mildred SneldersCC Original Makes 8 waffles 2 cups sifted flour1/2 tsp salt4 tsp baking powder3 eggs2 cups milk1/2 cup shortening (butter is better) Preheat waffle iron.  Sift flour, salt and baking powder into large bowl.   Beat eggs until foamy. Blend in milk; add shortening.
