“Sweet and sour is a delicious different taste.”

1 frying chicken or selected pieces
1 8 oz bottle of Russian salad dressing
12 oz jar apricot jam or preserves
1 pkg instant onion soup

Washing and cut chicken into desired pieces and arrange, meaty side up, in baking pan.   In bowl (or blender) mix salad dressing, jam and onion soup.  Pour mixture over chicken pieces.  Cover and bake at 300 degrees for at least 2 hours.

Note:  This can be served over rice.

Soak 4 slices of bread in 1/2 cup milk and 2 beaten eggs for 10 minutes.  Add:

1 lb hamburger
2 T minced onion
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp pepper

Make into balls; brown and place in baking dish.

Mix with 1 cup milk:
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can cream of chicken soup

Pour over meatballs and bake 1 hour, uncovered, in a 300 degree oven.  Any higher temp will curdle sauce.  The soups make enough sauce for 2 lbs of meat.  Makes about 2 dozen balls per lb.
